Simon Menin erhielt seinen ersten Unterricht als Cornettist in der Jugendmusik Olten. Angeregt durch das Projekt Spira Mirabilis widmet sich Simon Menin intensiv der historischen Aufführungspraxis und dem Spiel der Naturtrompete.

Als Solist trat er unter anderem mit dem Irish Chamber Orchestra, dem Argovia Philharmonic und dem Orchestra of St. Cecilia auf. Simon Menin began his musical journey as a cornet player in the Olten Youth Wind Band. He studied trumpet and music education at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester, graduating with Credit in Performance and earning the PPRNCM soloist diploma.

His education was further enriched through participation in orchestral academies, including the Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo (Japan) and the National Orchestral Institute in Maryland (USA).

Simon Menin is the recipient of several awards and scholarships, including the Rentsch Foundation Prize for Cultural Impulse (Switzerland) and the Concerto Award of the RNCM Concerto Competition in Manchester.
